I am a new behavioral health therapist at a foster care agency in Northern Michigan. My client, a 15 year old female disclosed CSA last Friday that occurred when she was 7 and her sister was 5. Tomorrow, for my first time as a therapist I have to help this young lady remain “open” when I tell her that CPS wants to investigate her Father and needs to question her. The client’s main concern and the source of the anxiety at the moment is the betrayal of her Father–as she has now divulged the secret. Is there anyone you know…OR Amy would you? Be willing to be placed on speaker phone to inspire this young lady within my session. Ultimately, it would take about 5-10 minutes of your time and it would do a lifetime of good. Additionally, I want to know what I have to do to get both girls on the list for Camp CADI 2010…Also, the week they are there…is there anyway I could volunteer and come learn from what I am sure is an amazing staff.
